Sizes

As a superior altnernative to so many alloy steels such as 8620 steel, 4140 steel, 4340 steel, 9310 steel, and the like it is important that FLEXOR is available in a multitude of sizes and conditions.

Unlike other steel service centers Pennsylvania Steel specializes in only one steel (FLEXOR®). FLEXOR® is a proprietary grade developed by Pennsylvania Steel Corporation to meet the growing demand for high quality with superior toughness, strength and wear properties. FLEXOR is most commonly supplied in the prehardened condition.

As FLEXOR steel is the only steel we carry we stock it in a variety of sizes and conditions. These include round bars, hot rolled rounds, turned rolled rounds, peeled (de-carb free) hot rolled rounds, ground and polished rounds, turned forged rounds, hot rolled flat bars, hot rolled plate, forged billet, hot rolled billet, and cut forged flats.

With our milling and turning capabilities Pennsylvania Steel Corporation can provide a rough machined blank to maximize properties and reduce lead time and any unnecessary costs.





Hot Rolled Rounds
In stock sizes are available from 1/2' to 11 x 12-19 ft random length bars.

Turned Forged Rounds
In stock sizes are available from 11-1/4" to 21-1/4" x 12- 19 ft random length bars.

Hot Rolled Flats
In stock sizes are available in a variety of sizes with maximum width of 4" and minimum thickness of 1/4".

Forged Flats
Sizes are specially forged or cut from our stocked forged billets with maximum length of 40". Please specify finish sizes.

Hot Rolled Plate
Generally all thicknesses are available. Maximum width is 16" x 40" long.

Ground and Polished Rounds
In stock sizes available from .500" to 6.000" with maximum length of 12 -13 ft. Typical ground tolerance size is +.000/ -.002. However, tighter tolerances can be provided.

Decarb Free Rounds
In stock sizes available from 1/2" to 3"
